Managing Partner of a busy general Solicitors Practice with five Solicitors and eleven support staff, based in the North West. My main areas of expertise are in Property and Conveyancing Law, Construction Law, General Commercial Law, Risk Management, Landlord and Tenant Law, Probate and Administration of Estates, Tax Law particularly Capital Taxes and Stamp Duty, and Civil Litigation.

Probate:
In the course of my experience as a Solicitor I have encountered many different situations involving Family disputes arising from Wills and indeed as a result of Intestacy situations. From my own involvement in Mediation, I have seen at first hand how effective Mediation can be in resolving such disputes. I believe in being proactive in identifying a potential source of dispute at an early stage, dealing with in a manner that is fair to all parties concerned and thus eliminating the problem before the parties become entrenched.
Property and Conveyancing Law:
In the course of my twenty five years as a Solicitor I have encountered many different situations in the areas of Property Transactions which give rise to disputes. I believe in being proactive in identifying a potential source of dispute at an early stage, dealing with in a manner that is fair to all parties concerned and thus eliminating the problem before the parties become entrenched.
Construction:
My background in Conveyancing and Property includes acting for Builders and Developers as well as Private Clients in disputes over Building Contracts, Contracts for Sale, Structural Defects, Arbitrations and Conciliation Processes arising from such disputes. While I do not profess to be an expert in Construction, I have a good working knowledge of how the Construction Industry operates, which is of great benefit in mediating disputes arising in this area.
